Pure Bronze, Signed & with Foundry Coin, Art Deco, ” Hoop Dancer ” Figurine, after J P Morante, on bespoke turned, black Marble base. This extremely high quality bronze, produced by the hot cast, lost wax technique is securely mounted on a solid marble base. The statue, overall, is 670 mm (26 3/8″) high, to top of hoop, around 270 mm (10 5/8″) wide & weighs 4,6 kgs (10,1 lbs). The bespoke black marble base is 126 mm (5″) diameter at its widest x 102 mm (4″) high. A stunning bronze piece, with incredible detail, adding distinction as either a centrepiece, or main attraction to any dwelling. An exclusive reproduction of the the original, Art Deco c1930 version by J P Morante (1882 – 1960) a famous French Art Deco sculptor. Morante was most famous for young, dynamically posed, early 20th century ladies. A highly detailed figurine, of a naked dancer, perfectly balanced on one leg, holding a hoop & with elaborate period headress. This one is signed “Morante” & carries the foundry coin.
