Superb, pure bronze, signed, Degas ballerina figurine, or “Little Dancer of Fourteen Years”, securely mounted on rectangular black marble base. This extremely high quality bronze, produced by the hot cast, lost wax technique, is mounted on a rectangular marble base. The statue, overall, including marble base is 200 mm (8) high, & weighs 0,95 kgs (2 lbs). The bronze plinth upon which she stands is 70 mm (2 3/4″) wide x 50 mm (2″) deep x 6 mm (1/4) thick. The rectangular black marble base is 88 mm (3 1/2″) wide, x 68 mm (2 5/8″) deep x 20 mm (3/4) thick. A stunning bronze piece, with incredible detail, adding distinction as either a centrepiece, or main attraction to any dwelling. This one is signed “Degas” & also contains the bronze foundry coin.
